AlAdInn Ventures, innovation takes off

AlAdInn Ventures  makes equity investments  mainly in start-ups and fast-growing private companies operating in the geographic area known as Alpe Adria Euroregion, which includes the Italian North-Eastern Regions of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Austrian Southern Region of Carinthia and Slovenia. AlAdInn Ventures  supports portfolio companies in their development by setting strategic guidelines and creating expansion  and  growth opportunities through the extensive business network of Friulia SGR managers.

Early in  2010, AlAdInn completed the second and last closing raising Euro 28,6 millions committed by Friulia S.p.A., local Bank Foundations and Banks.
As a result of the successful fundraising - which leveraged financial resources made available by third private parties besides the Fund Sponsor,  the regional financial company Friulia S.p.A -  AlAdinn Ventures turned into one of the main Italian investment funds devoted to innovative startups and became an high-standing potential partner for high and very high-tech small and medium companies, to support their expansion and growth.

The Fund estimates to invest in approximately 15 companies in the seed, start-up and expansion phase, operating in the life science, clean technology, nanotechnology, information and communication technologies and components sectors.
The ultimate goal is to create  value for all local stakeholders and to achieve higher financial returns when divesting shareholdings through IPO- Initial Public Offering on a Stock Exchange or through trade sale to third parties, typically within 3-5 years since the initial investment
The fund is managed by a carefully selected management team, with experience in top Italian and international industrial and financial companies, which operates according to the best investment and management practices
